Funday Friday! I think we all love Keepsake Projects! I would like to offer you a few options that i always enjoy! 1) Shape christmas Trees! ( use cups or containers dipped in paint). I also love to do this with hand prints layered in the shape of a tree. Then my favorite part! get out the loose parts and art pieces. Decorate your Tree! 2) Gingerbread or Cinnamon Playdough! make your own playdough. this is great small motor pratice as well as a great way to built attention span, as you give step instructions. roll out the dough and encourage the children to use Cookie Cutters. (great eye hand coordination). Then either bake them or let them dry out. They Smell Great! Every activity children engage in should be chosen by them. It Should be connected to their skills, Interests, or Needs . when children engage in these kinds of activities, they naturally grow and learn as they are exposed to new things. When they are interested in engaging with or learning more about a topic then they will naturally engage. One of my new favorites that I will use over and over again, is "Simon Says" Construction.  Here is how you can do it at home! Play is the natural way that children learn and gain new skills. they explore their environment and use trial and error to figure out how things work. They also watch those around them to get inspiration for exploration. I love to get kids engaged in every day activities in a way that they feel they are just playing. children love to be helpful and do Grown Up Things. Why not make them fun and teach them to be independent at the same time! Encourage them to Put their own clothes away, or Clean their toys up. you can do this by using games that they have to chose items to put away like Color, Letter They Start With, Shape or Even Size. Hi!  Welcome To The First Ever Creative Campus Activity Challenge! This Month I shared some of my favorite ways to engage in learning about FARMS! Let the children feel the item without looking and guess what is inside. this is a great activity for Thinking skills and Sensory experiences 1) Animal Voices : Provide pictures of animals and play recordings on the noises they make. ask the children guess them correctly have them choose the correct animal from the pile till all are chosen. 2) Animal Match : Find Pictures of animals and their babies. display the pictures and allow children to take turns matching adults with their babies. 3) Life Size A...

If you are wondering "How can I teach my child math skills without them loosing interest"? I have something your going to want to read. First I would ask, "What is your child' s favorite way to learn"? do they learn best by Doing, Listening or Watching? something being taught to them? that is the first step to engaging your child's attention and getting them to WANT to learn. Once you figure that out you can use things they are interested in to teach all learning concepts.  I have created Several courses on this theory. Hello Again! I have a wonderful Science oriented color mixing activity for you.  line a container with tin foil, cover with shaving cream, drip food coloring or I Used Liquid water color (worked great) into shaving cream. You can use holiday oriented colors depending on when you use this activity. Provide the child with a stick or brush. ( I use popsicle sticks). Either let the kids make their own designs    OR encourage then to write their names  in the shaving cream which will spread and mix the colors. I encouraged my friends to make shapes as well. gently press white paper on top after your art is done, peel paper back. (if it sits too long the paper gets wet so be quick).
