Winter Wonderland

Happy Holidays Everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I know this time of year can be a very busy time for anyone, so if you find yourself wanting a distraction for your little ones, I have something you might enjoy. "Ice Cube Snowman" you can use plastic containers or ice cube trays. Simply make ice cubes and let the children stack them and you can either give them shapes to create faces, buttons and so on from the outside of the ice. OR you can add black buttons, bottle caps, orange triangles INSIDE your ice to create faces and arms for your snowman. this is a fun activity in all stages! the children will enjoy playing with the ice and watching what happens as it starts to get warm. Enjoy and I will talk to you again in the new year! I have lots to share with you and I hope to hear you all share with me as well. Best Wishes and  Happy Holidays!

Good Morning Everyone!   I wanted to let you guys know about something that I made with my class last night that turned out REALLY Cool! the kids loved it and we adults had a blast with it  :)   SNOWDOUGH! who knew! it doesn't look that special on the table, but the texture of it and the way it responds to being used it weird and cool at the same time. You can add any color or even scent you want. As we played with it we added blue color and Mint scent.  I am going to make more of this in the weeks to come and try to make it more textured to look like "Real" snow. The kids loved running cars over it and pressing things into it making impressions. We also used Shaving Cream mixed with Glue and made these which the kids Enjoyed. The Children used Dish sponges to make Snowflakes! Once they dried, I cut around the edges to finish the look! the art dried puffy and shiny!  I would love to hear what some of your favorite winter activities are to do with your little

It is officially the start of a new season which brings with it so many new opportunities for fun. I would love to hear what some of your favorite fun activities are, to do with your little ones both in the classroom and at home as parents? I look forward to playing with snow and bringing the idea of snow into our art and other areas of our classroom. Enjoy Your Day!
