Thanksgiving Fun

Image
Hello Everyone! I hope you had a Wonderful Thanksgiving! I wanted to share some fun ideas with you that you can use to teach your young ones . Paper Plate turkeys. This was so easy and only used products that everyone has at home in one form or another. I cut the middle out of a paper plate creating a ring. I gave my friends different colors of tissue paper (you can use any paper you have wrapping paper, Tissue paper or even construction). then they covered the outer edge as desired and glued a brown circle to the back for the eyes and beak. These are super cute and I cant wait to do them again! Hope You Enjoy!

Happy 4th Of July Fun!

Image
Hello Everyone! I hope you are as excited about the 4th Of July as I am! the fireworks are always fun to see and there are lots of fun things going on this time of year. I wanted to share with you real fast, something I came up with as an extension of our theme this week. We used two different sized coffee filters, gluing them on top of one another. Then we used thinned out paint and decorated our fireworks. I would suggest letting the children color with crayons first to create background color. the children really had a lot of fun with this and I can't wait to use it again. The Children enjoyed making their own fireworks so much, that I decided to turn it into a sensory experience.  I put shaving cream into the science table, and gave each child a different color paint. I told them to smear the paint and shaving cream using hair combs. This created our own fireworks display.   I hope you enjoy this activity at home, and have a Wonderful...

Happy St Patrick Day Everyone! I wanted to share the fun day we had today with you all! I Made Shamrock Collages with my friends. Children of all ages enjoyed this one, it was great small motor practice picking the pieces and sticking them to their paper.  We also made Rainbows with hair brushes and paint. This was a lot of fun to watch! They came out so cool and they were Totally Child Created.    My favorite thing of the day was the "Surprise" I brought for my friends.  That's right!!! JELLO. They Loved it. This was such a wonderful activity I plan on using it again. I have a NEW favorite Sensory activity. This was a great way to experiment with Texture and Temperature and Scent. I hope you have had as much fun today as we did!   Till Next Time!   Theresa ( Don't forget you can go over to my FB Page and get lots more Free Ideas INCLUDING MY FREE GIVEAWAY THIS MONTH! https://www.facebook.com/thecreativecampuspreschool

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season! I love this time of year. The Shopping/Gift Giving, The Cooking and The Crafting! This is a wonderful time of year to work with your little ones to create art that makes wonderful Gifts and Keep Sakes. I as an adult make my own Christmas Cards every year, and Its a wonderful time for letting our little friends join in. I still have many of the wonderful holiday decorations that I made as a child! I am going to share with you two special activities my friends have recently done. The first is Circle Christmas Trees. the kids had soo much fun stamping these. You can use TP rolls or plastic cups of different sizes (super cute with different sizes).  Then I gave the children shapes but you can use any art supplies you have around the house or classroom. These are what the children used to "decorate" their tree. I think they are adorable and I hope you do as well. Since It snowed over the weekend, my friends w...

Hello Everyone! I had a wonderful morning learning and playing with my friends today! I had the chance to have a wonderful conversation with some of their moms as well. I love getting to know such wonderful people. It's one of the best parts of being a teacher. Today in class, we talked about Rainbows. We made rainbows in play dough. In art we used textures and paint to make rainbows as well.  These are some fun activities you can re create at home with your little ones. You can even make jell -o and add spring themed items for your children to play with. If you have any fun activities that you have used at home, Please feel free to post them here! Winter Wonderland

Happy Holidays Everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I know this time of year can be a very busy time for anyone, so if you find yourself wanting a distraction for your little ones, I have something you might enjoy. "Ice Cube Snowman" you can use plastic containers or ice cube trays. Simply make ice cubes and let the children stack them and you can either give them shapes to create faces, buttons and so on from the outside of the ice. OR you can add black buttons, bottle caps, orange triangles INSIDE your ice to create faces and arms for your snowman. this is a fun activity in all stages! the children will enjoy playing with the ice and watching what happens as it starts to get warm. Enjoy and I will talk to you again in the new year! I have lots to share with you and I hope to hear you all share with me as well. Best Wishes and  Happy Holidays!
